Talking of horror comics, while looking for a suitable cover for today I found this from 1973. Savile and other now-known abusers, notably Paul Gadd and Rolf Harris, appeared fairly regularly in IPC comics in the 70s and 80s, as entrenched, accepted and promoted in that medium of huge influence as they were across popular culture.
