Classic cover artists: David Mostyn

School Fun – which was far more anarchic than it sounds – was a comic that ran for 33 issues between October 1983 and May 1984, before being merged into Buster. Despite carrying some great humour strips by top creators of its day, School Fun doesn’t receive a lot of attention, and I suspect its circulation was relatively limited. This is a shame because the David Mostyn covers that adorned the vast majority of its issues (most of them, like those posted here, wrap-around affairs) – all baggy trousers and dirty shirts, pulling hair and eating dirt – deserve to be seen more widely.
