On this day, 30 April 1983 … Wow!, what a month it’s been, GNFARpals, and to round it off here’s a lovely copy of this fun-packed comic from the early 1980s – eventual merger-fodder for Whoopee!, but before that a bold and fast-paced publication in its own right. Shipwreck School was the regular cover story, following the desert-island disasters of a castaway class and their hapless mortar board-wearing teacher, while other notable stories included Adam and his Ants, Creepy Comix, Boy Boss, KBR Kids’ Band Radio, Penny Dreadful, Spare-part Kit and Kid Comic.
