On this day, 20 January 1979 ... after the trauma of yesterday's Tammy merger, a reminder of happier days for Misty fans. This was the comic's 50th issue.
Inside, Toni and her ghost-dog Arnold returned home to visit her dying mother, dancer Emma was at the mercy of a cruel theatre-owner when performing the Butterfly Ballet, psychic Sally Maxwell had a new home to adjust to following the death of her parents, 'Spooky' Sue held a birthday party for all those who teased her at school (see my Halloween blog post for more on this story), cruel Jilly Dukes met a cat out of Hell, and the mystery of Lisa - possible reincarnation of Rachel Prendergast - continued.
